By accessing or using any part of our website, making a purchase, booking a tour, or participating in a workshop, you agree to be bound by these terms. We may update these terms periodically to reflect changes in our services or legal requirements. Such modifications will be effective immediately upon posting. This agreement is governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada, and any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ottawa, Ontario.
Purchase Terms and Payment
Our product prices are listed in Canadian Dollars (CAD) and are subject to change without prior notice. All online orders are processed through secure payment gateways, accepting major credit cards and other specified digital payment methods. Upon successful order placement, you will receive an immediate confirmation email detailing your purchase. Please note that applicable provincial and federal taxes will be calculated at checkout based on your shipping address. A detailed invoice will be provided with your shipment or emailed directly upon order completion.
We strive to ensure accurate product descriptions and pricing, but errors can occur. In such cases, Northcurrent Outfitters reserves the right to correct any errors and may cancel or refuse to process orders placed with incorrect pricing. Payment security is paramount; all transactions are encrypted to protect your financial information.
Returns, Exchanges, and Refunds
Northcurrent Outfitters is committed to your satisfaction. You may return most new, unused items in their original packaging within 30 days of purchase for a full refund or exchange. Custom-ordered items, live bait, and certain clearance products may be subject to different return policies, as noted at the time of purchase. Defective or incorrect items will be exchanged without additional shipping costs.
Refunds are typically processed within 5-7 business days upon receipt and inspection of the returned item and will be issued to the original method of payment. A restocking fee may apply to certain returns as specified. Customers are generally responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to our error. Many products carry manufacturer warranties; please consult the specific product documentation for details on warranty claims.
Service Terms and Conditions
Our gear repair services come with a 90-day warranty on parts and labor for the specific repair performed. Workshop participation may require specific prerequisites or age restrictions, detailed during registration. Cancellations for workshops or events must be made at least 48 hours in advance for a full refund or credit; late cancellations or no-shows may forfeit the fee. We are dedicated to providing high-quality service, ensuring all repairs are conducted with expert precision and workshops deliver valuable, practical knowledge.
While we take utmost care, Northcurrent Outfitters assumes no liability for damage to items brought in for repair beyond the scope of our specified service. We recommend customers ensure their personal insurance covers items during transit or while at our facility. All participants in workshops are expected to follow safety guidelines provided by our instructors.
Guided Tour Terms and Conditions
Guided tours require booking in advance, with confirmation upon full payment. Cancellations made by participants less than 72 hours prior to the tour start time may result in forfeiture of the deposit or full payment. Tours may be rescheduled or cancelled by Northcurrent Outfitters due to unsafe weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances, with full refunds or rescheduling options provided. Participants must adhere to all safety instructions provided by their guide, including wearing life vests where required.
While Northcurrent Outfitters provides necessary fishing equipment for tours, participants are responsible for bringing appropriate personal gear (e.g., weather-appropriate clothing, personal protective equipment). All tour participants will be required to sign a liability waiver prior to departure, acknowledging the inherent risks associated with outdoor activities and fishing. We strongly recommend participants obtain adequate personal travel and accident insurance.
Liability and Disclaimers
Northcurrent Outfitters limits its liability for direct damages arising from product defects or service failures to the purchase price paid for the respective product or service. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Participation in outdoor activities, including fishing, guided tours, and workshops, involves inherent risks, including but not limited to, adverse weather conditions, encounters with wildlife, and physical exertion.
Northcurrent Outfitters is not responsible for losses, injuries, or damages resulting from your personal negligence or failure to follow instructions or safety guidelines. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, beyond what is explicitly stated. In circumstances beyond our reasonable control (force majeure), such as natural disasters or government actions, we shall not be held liable for delayed or failed performance. By engaging with our services, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Northcurrent Outfitters, its employees, and affiliates from any claims arising from your use of services or products, except where prohibited by law.
